Women’s Program (18yrs +) | Client Programs
Gender differences come into play when it comes to treatment for substance abuse. Just as each patient’s needs are unique, and a treatment program must be tailored to address those particular needs, attention also must be paid to the special needs of women. What works for men in treatment doesn’t always work the same way for women. At CVN we know context is important. Our treatment experts agree that substance abuse treatment for women needs to be approached from the perspective that includes the context of the women’s lives. These contexts include her perception and relationship with herself, relationships with family, extended family, and support systems, social and economic environment, and the impact of gender and culture. The CVN approach to women’s recovery is rooted in education of the individual regarding addiction tendencies and an understanding of their real and perceived obstacles. Once this is attained, we focus on unwinding the tendencies by focusing on women living in a world defined by them as strong, confident, and capable of sobriety.
The Core 12 Week Program
The CORE program has been designed by CoreVision Network (CVN) to serve its clients, their family and friends, and its administration and staff in their own personal growth. These growth areas are personal, social, emotional, and behavioral and are approached with a holistic perspective, intending to encourage, guide, and care for all participants.
